On Saturday, May 8 the Penn State Shenango class of 2021 celebrated Commencement at a small ceremony with loved ones. Remarks were shared by Campus Director Jo Anne Carrick, Faculty Marshal Angela Pettit, student speaker Donovan Verges, Registrar Matthew Goral, and Penn State Shenango Alumni Society President Carl Sizer III.
Last month students participated in our week-long Fresh Check Day event! Each day a new interactive booth was added that promotes mental health check-ins. Topics included learning how to help a struggling friend, the benefits of volunteering, artistic expression and inspiration.
Campus Director Jo Anne Carrick was joined by students and administration to mask up the Nittany Lion Shrine in support of Penn State's "Mask Up or Pack Up" campaign. In addition to Shenango's newest mask, Penn State's School of Theatre created custom masks for several lion shrines across the state.
