SHARON, Pa. — Under the direction of Jeanne Zingale, Penn State Shenango instructor in communications, the Shenango Drama Club on March 29 presented a check for $825 to Mimi Prada, public relations coordinator for the Community Food Warehouse.

The donation came from proceeds brought in by the Drama Club’s holiday production “Star Child,” which was written and directed by Zingale. Over the years, the Shenango Drama Club, which Zingale advises, has donated thousands of dollars and nonperishable food to the Community Food Warehouse, as well as money and items to AWARE of Mercer County.

“The students who are part of this club are very civic minded,” said Zingale. “They enjoy putting on our campus productions, but mostly, they love being able to give back to their community. I couldn’t be more proud of what they’ve accomplished.”
