Production shines spotlight on women’s experiences

The Penn State Shenango Drama Club and its partner, Lawrence Mercer ATHENA, will present their production of the award-winning play “The Vagina Monologues” at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 17 and 18 in the Penn State Shenango Auditorium. The local production of "The Vagina Monologues" is part of the V-Day global movement to end violence against women and girls.

Penn State Shenango spaghetti fundraiser to support kids with cancer

Penn State Shenango will host its fifth annual THON spaghetti dinner fundraiser from 5 to 8 p.m. Jan. 20 in the campus auditorium. The event is sponsored by Penn State Shenango benefiting THON and various local restaurants. All proceeds will support kids with cancer.

Shenango Drama Club to present original holiday production Dec. 2-4

The Penn State Shenango Drama Club will present an original comedy, "Star Child," this weekend, Dec. 2-4, continuing its tradition of offering the community a holiday play designed to appeal to children of all ages.

Shenango to present 'Star Child' as annual holiday production Dec. 2-4

The Penn State Shenango Drama Club is in final rehearsals for its presentation of the original comedy "Star Child." The holiday production will launch at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 2, with matinee performances on Dec. 3 and 4. Admission, which is $8 for adults, $7 for students and seniors, and $5 for children under age 4, includes a snack at intermission and an opportunity to visit with Santa after the show.

Shenango PTA students to hold community collection drive for Toys for Tots Fdn.

Penn State Shenango is sponsoring a toy drive to benefit the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Foundation. The annual community collection drive, staffed by Shenango campus Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) students and faculty, will take place at the Hermitage Wal-Mart Super Center from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sat., November 19.
