Outstanding Shenango campus students, faculty and staff are honored

Penn State Shenango students were honored at the campus’ 2018 Honors Convocation and Recognition Banquet for their outstanding academic and student leadership achievements and services. The recipients of this year’s Eric and Josephine Walker Award, Dennis W. Bartholomew Outstanding Adult Student Award, the Ann Wansack Award, the Leonard R. Riforgiato Memorial Teaching Award, and the Margaret Cunningham Foley Memorial Teaching Award also were part of the program.

Penn State announces fixed-term faculty promotions, effective July 1, 2018

Young and old learn about each other through FaceAge

David is 87, with a gentle smile, intelligent, compassionate eyes, and neuropathy. Caleb, 22, bristling with youth, reaches out tentatively toward David's face. Bright tattoos covering Caleb's forearm simultaneously counter and complement David's white hair and beard. As Caleb's fingers trace David's jaw, he says quietly, with some incredulity...'even the scars are soft.'

Students of Penn State Shenango were honored at the campus’ 2017 Honors Convocation and Recognition Banquet for their outstanding academic and student leadership achievements and services. The recipients of this year’s Eric and Josephine Walker Award, Dennis W. Bartholomew Outstanding Adult Student Award, the Ann Wansack Award, as well as the Leonard R. Riforgiato Memorial Teaching Award and the Margaret Cunningham Foley Memorial Teaching Award, were also part of the program.

Office for General Education announces Integrative Studies Seed Grant awards

The Integrative Studies Seed Grant Program, offered through the Penn State Office for General Education, will support 71 different course development projects this summer. In response to the large volume of highly qualified proposals, the budget was generously increased by more than 50 percent by the Office of the Provost and the Office of Undergraduate Education.
