Start your Penn State story
We're excited you're ready to become a Penn Stater! Now's the perfect time to get started on your application. If you need help getting started, check out our guides to apply for first-year, transfer, or adult students.
If your Penn State calculated GPA is at or above one of our tiers, you’re automatically awarded your renewable scholarship(s) to Penn State Shenango. If you are admitted after June 30, scholarships are awarded if funding is still available.
Please note: All Penn State scholarships require full-time enrollment (12 credits per semester) and may be prorated in the case of less than full-time enrollment depending on funding availability. Incoming students must also be officially admitted by June 1 to guarantee eligibility.
Continuing students
You must schedule your fall courses and submit your FAFSA before May 1 to guarantee consideration.
Transfer and adult students
Not a high school senior? Not a freshman? Not a problem! Transfer students with a cumulative college GPA above 2.80 and adult learners with a high school grade point average above 2.80 are also eligible for this scholarship program.
Residents of Pennsylvania border states can earn even more
Students in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia can save $6,000 for their first two years and $7,000 during their last two years at Penn State Shenango. Students who transfer for their junior year may be considered for an award of $6,500 a year for three years to help them earn a bachelor’s degree.
