I am proud to say I am a Penn State Alumni of 2006! Once I completed my undergraduate degree, I began working in the field counseling survivors of domestic violence and children that have suffered abuse. It was an honor to be a part of their healing process and to see them develop their own empowerment.

In 2014, I obtain my master degree at Kent State University. Upon graduating with my masters, I moved on to working in the drug and alcohol field as a clinician for almost a decade. I had the privilege to assist patients with addressing underlying issues of childhood trauma (physical, emotional, sexual abuse and neglect), sexual assault, grief and loss, and violent crime.

I began my teaching career in 2015 at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio as an adjunct. My Penn State Shenango career began in 2018 as an adjunct then moved to full-time in the Fall of 2019. I am currently studying for MPS in Criminal Justice Policy and Administration at Penn State World Campus. This is an exciting journey for me to further my academic career.

I have developed a study aboard program in London! This interdomain study abroad course (HDFS 249N/HDFS 397N ) will take place in the United Kingdom in the city of London. Students will study the development of the identified monarchs through historical research and current developmental literature. Integrative learning will take place through cultural immersions, academic excursions, lectures, discussions, and assignments. Cultural immersions will allow students to see, touch, and feel the contexts of history and to gain understanding of the physiological, psychological, and social dimensions of monarchs.
