With an expedited two year structure, earn an associate degree that is career focused to help you move to the next chapter of your life or use it as a gateway to a Penn State bachelor's degree.
Division of Undergraduate Studies is a pre-major designation to identify students who have not yet settled on a path. Often referred to as “undecided” or “exploratory,” students in this designation work with advisers to explore degrees, engage in the campus community, and achieve academic success while deciding on their Penn State story.
Some students choose to remain at Penn State Shenango for all four years, while others spend their first two years here, then transition to another campus for their remaining two years. We call it the 2+2 plan, and it’s the most common path to a Penn State degree. More than 60% of Penn State students begin at a Commonwealth campus.
Penn State undergraduate certificate programs are designed to be a convenient way to take a few courses to gain professional skills, or to jumpstart entering a degree program.
