Biography
In addition to Dr. Jewell’s role on campus, she is actively involved in the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). She has held various leadership positions in the APTA Education Section Physical Therapist Assistant Educators Special Interest Group currently serving as vice chair. She has presented at the APTA’s Combined Sections Meeting National Conference four times and has also served as a facilitator twice for round table discussions. She mentors her students annually in a community service based program to emphasize the importance of physical activity to local pre-school children. Her local community involvement is also extended to Mercer County Toys for Tots and Sharon’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
