Biography
Roxanne Atterholt joined the Shenango campus faculty full-time in 2013. Previously she taught as an adjunct lecturer at Thiel College in its Sociology department. Roxanne has held Faculty status as a field instructor for the University of Pittsburgh’s Master of Social Work program. She has been an Instructor and Transfer of Learning Specialist for the University of Pittsburgh’s Child Welfare Education and Research Program.
In addition to instruction, Roxanne has held professional positions for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Department of Human Services within the Bureau of Juvenile Justice Services and Bureau of Intellectual Supports.
Through the National Council on Family Relations, Roxanne is a Certified Family Life Educator and is also a Board Certified Human Service Practitioner. Additionally, she is grant reviewer for U.S. Department of Health and Human Services - Health Services and Resources Administration and Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.
Roxanne is a member of the Mercer County Criminal Justice Advisory Board, the National Organization of Human Services, and the National Council on Family Relations.
Interests for Roxanne include running, photography and reading. She and her husband, Mark, are the parents of three and reside in West Middlesex, Pennsylvania.
