SHARON, Pa. — The Penn State Shenango Drama Club will hold open auditions for “A Christmas Pudding,” from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 16, in the Penn State Shenango Auditorium, 147 Shenango Avenue, in Sharon.
The cast will be composed of 6 to 12 adults and children (ages 10 and up). Actors may be cast for spoken roles, a chorus role, or for both. “A Christmas Pudding” will be performed readers-theatre style and will use cuttings from traditional and contemporary Christmas literature, including "A Christmas Carol," "The Gift of the Magi," and "Yes, Virginia, There Is a Santa Claus." Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script.
The show is under the direction of Jeanne Zingale, instructor in communications and adviser to the Drama Club. Performances will be held 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 1 and 2, and 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 3.
