Academic Advising

Our dedicated team of advisers help students achieve their fullest academic potential by encouraging them to make informed decisions based on their interests, abilities, values, and goals. Advisers help students by providing guidance and information about course selection, academic planning, degrees, and Penn State requirements and policies.

Exploratory Pre-Major

Division of Undergraduate Studies is a pre-major designation to identify students who have not yet settled on a path. Often referred to as “undecided” or “exploratory,” students in this designation work with advisers to explore degrees, engage in the campus community, and achieve academic success while deciding on their Penn State story.

Student Orientations and Transitional Programs

The AAC office is the first to invite new Penn Staters to campus at Penn State’s orientations throughout the summer. The week before fall classes begin, our Student Affairs office hosts students for an additional Welcome Day to explore campus before their first day.
