Alpha Phi Sigma is the National Criminal Justice Honor Society. Pi Zeta Gamma is the local chapter of Alpha Phi Sigma. Benefits include becoming a member of a nationally recognized honor society, achieving superior academic achievement which can be used for federal hiring graded levels (GS-7 when applicable), the opportunity to attend the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences (ACJS) national conference and attend Alpha Phi Sigma events along with local chapter (Pi Zeta Gamma) events. Alpha Phi Sigma is the only national criminal justice honor society for criminal justice majors.
Becoming a Member:
Eligibility for undergraduates includes:
- Minimum cumulative 3.2 GPA both in the overall courses and criminal justice courses or related field.
- Must also have at least 45 total credit hours completed (approximately 3rd semester or later) to be considered eligible.
