When she finally convinced me to go to college, she put an empty picture from next to my sister’s graduation picture and said, “In four years, I want to be able to put a picture of you in that empty frame.” Since that day, those words have made me strive to graduate.

Olivia Beveridge and Kaitlin Winslow

HDFS students receive remote innovation grants to complete capstones

This semester two Human Development and Family Studies students, Olivia Beveridge and Kaitlin Winslow, received Student Engagement Network remote innovation grants to complete their capstone experiences. The students incorporated their HDFS learnings to help solve real-world problems.  Olivia created a project called “A New Way of Life” that helped implement a plan to keep adults with developmental disabilities safe during the pandemic.  Kaitlin completed an internship with Primary Health Network’. The internship’s focus was to provide virtual programming for PHN professionals across the commonwealth.
