Campus Committee on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging
We constantly strive for the Shenango campus to be a warm and welcoming space to all of our students, faculty, and staff. We value diversity in the student experience and work hard to promote the idea of celebrating the differences among us.
The mission of the Shenango DEIB Committee is to promote respect, inclusiveness, and belonging, and works to engage the campus community in activities that educate, foster awareness, and initiate positive change.
The previously named Diversity Committee was re-established in 2018 with the intent to develop a shared and inclusive understanding of diversity at the Shenango campus. The committee was charged with finding ways to incorporate diversity across disciplines, within the campus workforce, and everyday life at Shenango. Currently, the Shenango Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) Committee continues to pursue this goal through providing quality programming and working with various University groups.
