Earth Day is Saturday, April 22, but Penn State will celebrate Earth Day(s) with a variety of events for students, faculty, staff and the community throughout April. Activities are scheduled across the Commonwealth at many of Penn State's campuses, from Berks to University Park to Shenango.
Penn State Shenango officially announced the reinstatement of its athletic program at the 2017 Penn State Shenango Alumni Society Meet and Greet event on April 12 featuring Penn State Director of Athletics Sandy Barbour as its keynote speaker.

Andre Smith, a former Youngstown State University basketball standout and assistant basketball coach, has accepted the position as coordinator of athletic programs and recruitment and head basketball coach at Penn State Shenango.
