Earth Fest 2017 will feature live music, kids’ activities, artists and more

Adults and children of all ages are invited to join the fun as Penn State Shenango holds Earth Fest 2017 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 8, at the campus in downtown Sharon, Pennsylvania. The event, which offers free admission and is open to the public, will include live music and entertainment, children’s activities, a local artists’ market, Penn State Berkey Creamery Ice Cream, and information from sustainability-minded local organizations and businesses.

PTA Club to host eighth annual Hustle for Muscle 5K run/walk April 1

Now in its eighth year, Penn State Shenango’s Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Club’s Hustle for Muscle 5K Run/Walk will be held at 9 a.m. on April 1. The annual event, which is held on a family-friendly, fast course around the Shenango campus and downtown Sharon, raises funds to support the PTA Club’s mission and program.

Production shines spotlight on women’s experiences

The Penn State Shenango Drama Club and its partner, Lawrence Mercer ATHENA, will present their production of the award-winning play “The Vagina Monologues” at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 17 and 18 in the Penn State Shenango Auditorium. The local production of "The Vagina Monologues" is part of the V-Day global movement to end violence against women and girls.

John F. Kennedy at 100: Shenango lecture series continues

Learn more about John F. Kennedy as Penn State Shenango Associate Professor of History Philip Nash presents at the 2016-2017 Faculty Lecture Series at 7 p.m. on Feb. 20, in Sharon Hall room 105, located on Penn Avenue in downtown Sharon. The event is free and open to the public.
