Through Penn State Shenango's strong network of alumni and community supporters, $50,000 has been raised to launch a baseball program that will begin play during the 2023-24 academic year. Baseball will become the fifth sport that the campus has added since reinstating athletics in 2018.
Penn State Shenango employees have created and collaborated on projects that span publications, presentations, awards, grants and by completing professional development opportunities throughout the 2021-22 academic year.
Penn State Shenango Campus Director Jo Anne Carrick announced 98 students named to the spring 2022 dean’s list. The dean’s list recognizes the students who were enrolled full time and earned a semester grade-point average of 3.5 or higher.

Two new endowments totaling $4 million will increase economic development in western Pennsylvania through a partnership between Penn State and the Community Foundation of Western PA and Eastern OH, with support of the Sharon community. Expanding the region’s innovation, entrepreneurial and business support offerings, the endowments will establish a Penn State LaunchBox at Penn State Shenango and a fund to support business owners in Sharon.

Penn State President-elect Neeli Bendapudi visited Penn State Shenango on April 27 as part of her listening tour to meet with students, faculty and staff across Penn State’s campuses.
Partnering with area high schools, Penn State Shenango offers a dual enrollment schedule that runs from August to May. The schedule features general education courses, allowing high schoolers to apply the credits they earn to a Penn State degree or transfer the courses to another college.
Penn State's sexual misconduct climate survey will close on April 22. The survey was sent to a random sample of students at all Penn State campuses; students can check their Penn State email for a link to complete the survey. The University-wide survey is designed to assess issues of sexual assault, misconduct and harassment.
