The Shenango campus participated in the Community Foundation of Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio’s “PA-OH Gives” campaign, funding the reinstatement of a coed golf team planned for launch in the fall 2022 semester. The campaign raised a total of $12,778 from 28 donors, more than doubling the goal.
Recognized student organizations may return to holding in-person activities, including meetings, tabling, and other events for the fall semester. Students are expected to follow all current masking requirements on their campus during these activities.
Due to the rapidly evolving COVID-19 conditions around the country and in Pennsylvania, effective immediately (Aug. 4), Penn State will require all students, faculty, staff and visitors — including those who are vaccinated and unvaccinated — to wear masks indoors at all campuses. Within the last 24 hours, many counties that are home to Penn State campuses have shifted to “orange” status, warranting an immediate adjustment to the University’s on-campus masking requirement.
A class of Penn State Shenango occupational therapy assistant students collaborated with psychology students from the University of Nanterre in Paris, France to explore similarities and differences of wellbeing and happiness across cultures.
Penn State Shenango has announced the campus Dean’s List for the spring 2021 semester. In recognition of academic excellence, students who maintain a grade point average of 3.50 or higher are named to the Dean's List each semester.

On Saturday, May 8, the Penn State Shenango class of 2021 celebrated commencement at a small ceremony with loved ones. Remarks were shared by Campus Director Jo Anne Carrick, Faculty Marshal Angela Pettit, student speaker Donovan Verges, Registrar Matthew Goral, and Penn State Shenango Alumni Society President Carl Sizer III.
