The Penn State Shenango Academic Advising Office staff believe in getting to know their students in and outside their offices, and in order to accomplish that, Academic Advising Manager Amy Petrucci-Effinite and Advising Staff Assistant Taylor Cole implemented a new Lunch & Learn program this past year, which included several workshops and seminars for students and the campus community.
Penn State Shenango student entrepreneurs Ali Izzo and Holly Masters won $15,000 during “The Investment,” the finale of PennTAP’s Inc.U Competition, which aired May 16 on WPSU-TV.
The Penn State Shenango Alumni Society will hold its 18th annual Golf Scramble on June 15 at Pine Lakes Golf Club in Hubbard, Ohio. Proceeds from the event will benefit Penn State Shenango athletics and student scholarships.

Penn State alumna Margaret U. Horne, director of Gannon University's Small Business Development Center, will be this year’s Penn State Shenango commencement speaker. The campus will hold its 2019 spring graduation ceremony at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 4, in the Shenango campus auditorium.
Andrew Frank’s involvement with Penn State Shenango comes full circle 35-plus years after he first arrived on campus in the early 1980s as a student and then as a volunteer coach for women’s athletics. Frank, a native of Farrell, will return to Shenango as the assistant women’s volleyball coach for the team’s inaugural season this fall.
